Remove the individual blog post's thumbnail image from the header banner

Keeping the blog page banner on the entire blog page that I have set up in the configure settings of the blog page.

For example, www.annaadoue.com/ie-blog

I used code to remove the banner from the individual post page, which is great! But when I go to the blog page, I want to see the banner that I"ve set up in the config settings for the page.

Any advice for how to achieve this?
